Dear Parents,

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the overwhelming energy and enthusiasm displayed by the parents who attended our first Director of IT Parent Tech Byte session, “Is It Safe Online?” The insightful discussions and shared experiences truly emphasised the value of our collective efforts in promoting online safety for our children.

The session served as an excellent platform for parents to gain valuable insights into navigating the digital realm alongside our children. We delved into the crucial topic of having boundaries that fit the needs of the culture and home dynamics. There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to establishing these boundaries. I also shared views of famous individuals from the tech world and how they parent their kids at home regarding technology use. The engaging discussions and the supportive environment fostered an environment where questions were welcomed, and experiences were shared. I encourage you to bring your own tech into these sessions so that we can have live and meaningful discussions on how I can help you take control of device use at home. Additionally, I encourage parents to contact me directly if they require further assistance in creating meaningful boundaries at home.

As mentioned previously these Parent Tech Byte sessions will be a weekly Thursday event. To accommodate the needs of all parents, starting from our next session, we will be transitioning to a hybrid format. This means that parents who are unable to attend in person will have the opportunity to join the session online, ensuring that everyone can participate and benefit from these crucial discussions.

I have received requests from some parents to share a recording of the first session with those who could not attend. Please find below the link to my recorded presentation for your reference.
