The Dutch education
The Dutch Stream is a bilingual school which offers Dutch Primary education in Dutch and English, for students aged two and a half to twelve years old. Additionally, we offer Dutch lessons for Dutch-speaking students in NCBIS Secondary School.
We find it important that our students develop a love for learning and that they are equipped with the skills needed to take part in, and contribute to, an ever-changing and developing society.
We value cognitive skills as much as we do social, interpersonal, creative and physical skills, which is reflected in the breadth of our daily activities.
We promote learning together and from each other by working in combined year groups and by using cooperative learning structures.
We operate in close cooperation with our colleagues in British Primary and Secondary and aim to prepare our students to continue their learning in both Dutch and English-speaking schools successfully.
Our school is affiliated with the Dutch Foundation for Dutch Schools Abroad (Stichting Nederlandse Scholen in het Buitenland) and is subject to inspection by the Inspectorate of the Netherlands Ministry of Education.
