Bio & Experience

Omar started his career in the Travel field in 2006. In 2013, he switched careers and joined Arabian Cement – an EGX listed company, where he acquired a deep understanding of the industry. In 2016, he established, developed and managed the Alternative Fuels company servicing the decarbonization needs of the cement industry. Inspired by the unlimited potential from wasted resources and the challenges to unlock that potential, he joined Intro Investments early in 2018 and co-founded Intro Sustainable Resources to tackle the decarbonization of the industrial sector in Egypt by developing green and circular projects in partnership with leading players. Omar graduated with honors from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain in 2008. Omar has been on several boards of medium-sized companies in the past 5 years and is currently on the board of Intro Sustainable Resources. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration Majoring in Finance from the same school. He has more than 16 years of work experience in a number of different fields, 10 years of which he was holding senior management positions and leading roles. 

Reason for nomination

We joined NCBIS because parents play an active role in their children’s education and preparation for their future. We are a multi-cultural family living in Egypt on a permanent basis and therefore we are invested in NCBIS. The reason I decided to participate in the board-nomination process is to assist the school in achieving its goals and help maintain and improve the school’s performance within the national education system. I believe that my profile as well as my professional experience and my hands-on approach will be an asset for the current board.
