Celebrating Our Journey: “Your Phone Is Not Your Friend” Project at NCBIS

I’m thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our “Your Phone Is Not Your Friend” project, which we kicked off last year at NCBIS! 📱✨ This initiative was born out of a desire to address the impact of technology on our students and promote healthier digital habits.

Over the past year, we’ve engaged students, parents, and teachers in meaningful discussions about the challenges of smartphone usage. As you may know, I had the honour of presenting this project at the American University in Cairo last year, and it was received warmly by many attendees. I’m now excited to share that I’ll be documenting our journey in the International School Magazine! The first article, published over the holiday break, captures our initial findings and reflections. It’s a proud moment for all of us involved, and I hope it sparks further conversations within our community.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to explore this important topic and share our insights with the wider educational community. I will keep you informed about further initiatives related to smartphone use.

Together, we can make a difference in how our students navigate their digital lives!
