Sara trained in the UK, gaining a Bachelor of Science honours degree and Postgraduate Certificate of Education at Sheffield Universities. She has taught Primary Key Stage 1, 2 and Early Years pupils for many years, with considerable experience in the UK and international schools in Malaysia, Nepal, Uganda, Syria and Kazakhstan. Sara believes that her pupils should be at the centre of everything she does, that all children have great potential and the right to achieve success. She loves to encourage the development of self-expression and confidence in learning by providing a vibrant, fun and creative class environment, using any excuse to incorporate drama, role-play, music and dance. In her spare time Sara loves to be artistic, to be outdoors walking on the coast or cycling, travelling and learning about new and exciting places. She lives in Cairo with her husband, Greg and an eight-year-old son, Tom. The whole family has been very much looking forward to their new experience at NCBIS and the wonders that Egypt will undoubtedly bring!
