Since graduating from my first degree at the University of Leeds, I went on to study music at the London Metropolitan University and Psychology of Music in Education at the University of Sheffield, both at post graduate level. I have over 25 years of professional musical experience as an educator, performer, recording musician, composer and arranger. My dedication to teaching music has included private instrumental lessons to diploma level, classroom music, directing all school bands, ensembles, orchestra, choirs, musical theatre and music technology. I held the post of choirmaster and church organist at St Pauls Church Woodford Bridge for a ten year period alongside my teaching post at Regents High School in central London before accepting my post at NCBIS in 2013.
