I graduated MBChB from Dundee University in Scotland. Following a career break I retrained as a science teacher, completing my PGCE in Secondary Science at the Institute of Education (UCL) London before going on to complete a Masters in Science Education also at IoE(UCL). I have now been teaching for over ten years in inner London Schools, as both a teacher and for 4 years as Head of Biology. I joined NCBIS in 2020 as Second in Science and was promoted to Head of Science last year. The school culture here promotes international mindedness, and encourages independent thinking at all key stages. I believe that all learners can exceed expectations and love enabling my students to access challlenging scientific ideas. I am here in Egypt with my family and we are thoroughly enjoying exploring the ancient sites, the beaches and the Red Sea in our free time.
