Counselling
I graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2003 with a BSc in Social Work. I then went on to complete my Advanced Practitioner Award in Child Development and worked as a frontline child protection social worker for 11 years in the U.K. With two years in management and a heavy caseload as a Principal Forensic Social Worker, I took a slight career change and joined NCBIS in 2017 as counsellor. I love being able to use my diverse transferrable skills to support students socially and emotionally and find one to one work extremely rewarding. I have recently undertaken a Diploma in systemic Psychosexual Therapy, and work privately as a counsellor, Family Links Group Leader and Child Protection Consultant. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, live music and cooking.
