I am an experienced Director of IT with expertise in managing various teams and balancing large budgets. My background in Education and Technology informs my mindful but competitive approach. I am fuelled by my passion for understanding the bigger picture related to the everyday actions. I consider myself a ‘life-long learner,’ eager to both build on my academic foundations in Educational Leadership and stay in tune with the latest Educational Technology strategies. My desire to help and support others pushes me to design innovative content and engaging training sessions. I have also vastly improved the productivity of my teams by implementing strategic project management methods and ensuring a work-life balance for my department. I believe mindfulness in the workplace is key to success – a tenet that I live out through my interests in regular exercise, meditation, and family time. I believe I am a life-long learner. My professional development has been motivated by my personal desire to grow. I am a Google Certified Teacher who was amongst the first cohort outside of the USA to achieve this certification. I also have a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management in Independent Schools and Post Graduate Diploma in Education. I recently completed my UK National Professional Qualifications for Middle Leaders (NPQML) with focus on evidence-based research to improve Digital Literacy skills through using e-portfolios as a case study. I am a key member of one the largest networks of International Tech-Educators and Directors. I have lived and worked in Kuwait, Malaysia, Belgium, Egypt and Jordan. I enjoy travelling and exploring coffee shops wherever I go. My wife is an artist and teacher and I have an eleven-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
